4th of July Weekend

It's the start of a long July 4th weekend and the flags are blooming in the neighborhood. For the first time since we moved here to The Villages, we are actually here and have flags to put out. We are on the corner so I used 12 flags! A lot of the neighbors display flags so it looks great when you drive down the street. Love it!

More Talent Show

I need to mention that since a few of the scheduled performers failed to show up, there was someone who volunteered to fill in... Yup, That Poor Wayfaring Stranger - Martin! (All of his practicing is really paying off. He did a great job!

And I shouldn't forget to note that Elvis was in the house too!

Ward Talent Show

Last night one of the Young Women from our Belleview Ward organized a ward talent show. Our friend, Judy Peters, LOVES bluegrass music and she plays a little banjo, sings and clogs. She asked Martin to accompany her on four songs: Blue Ridge Mountain Blues, Waltz Across Texas, Angel Band and Where We'll Never Grow Old. Admittedly I've never been a fan of Bluegrass (Don't know where Scott got his love of it!?!), but it was a lot of fun and she ended up being voted the best act of the evening. How about that?

Fresh Start

I really want to try this blog thing again - wasn't successful the first time! Mainly I want to document where we are and what we are doing for my own purposes, because we are having so much fun that I am having a hard time keeping track of what we did and when we did it.
We realize there will come a time when all our traveling will come to an end, and I want to be able to look back ... and have some help remembering!

(Also I just picked up a new camera - Nothing fancy, just a small digital that I picked up on clearance at Staples. Now maybe I can take pictures without a black smudge in them!)

Gator Hunters!

Tami, Camden and Parker came to visit on Spring Break so we all got on Jumpin' Johnny's airboat and set out to find us some gators! First all we found was some babies...
