Last week Martin and I took a three day trip to Utah just to get away, see friends, and see the mountains again. We had a great time and even managed to sell a storage unit in our old condo that we still owned! We visited a former neighbor, saw "Big" the musical (which was excellent!) and walked around Salt Lake City. Sandy, Utah has a large field which they filled with American flags to commemorate 9/11 so we took a couple of pictures there. And of course we drove up into the mountains to enjoy the view.

Grandma and PapPap are in the house!!!

We finally got my mom and dad here to Maryland. We drove down here on Thursday morning and I drove them back to Pennsylvania on Saturday morning. Yeah, it was a short and sweet visit. Grandma made sure we fit in a shopping trip to Arundel Mills Mall where she found a cute trendy top and a pair of cool Skecher shoes. Katie and Nick came over and joined us for dinner one night and we joined Melissa, Carl and Nicolas in Waldorf the second night. We had dinner at Mimi's Cafe and then went to the Pascarella house to see their new floors and Grandpap got to spend some quality lego time with Nicolas! We met my brother, Bill, in Breezewood where we had lunch then he took Mom and Dad back home to West Elizabeth. So, pretty much non-stop fun!

Aunt Laverne's Birthday Party
Recently we were in Pennsylvania to attend my aunt's 80th birthday party. It was a lot of fun - a lot of my family were there. My sister, Bobbie, and her family, Bill and Terry, Mark and some of his family, my cousins Kim, Jim and Norma. There was entertainment and lots of food so everyone had a great time. It was so good to visit with family we rarely get to see, like my cousin Jim who lives in Guam. We enjoyed staying with my parents while we were there and Martin also got to visit with his Uncle Steve and his cousins, Kevin and Barbara. Quite a family weekend. My dad turns 80 in October so we are hoping to put together a celebration for him on November 1. Stay tuned for details on that.

Carol Lynn & Martin Paul H
The hardest part about starting a Blog is coming up with a name. I wanted something that was personal, interesting and cool. That proved to be too difficult, so I went with our initials. Martin has great initials, MPH, and I have always wanted to use them for something. CL in Roman numerals is 150. Wow, I had never put those together before! 150 MPH. Yeah, that is us all right. Always going at full speed. (Ha!)
Actually, since we have 2 homes - one in The Villages, Florida and one in Odenton, Maryland - friends are always saying, "We can't keep up with you! We never know where you are going to be." So that is our motto now, Live every day at 150 MPH!
This blog is intended for family and friends, especially our grandchildren, Camden, Parker, Clark, Spencer and "Number 5". We love you guys and miss you lots.
